English Champs Bormio 2008

After our epic 24hr journey I had my doubts that Italy was going to be a successful choice for these races, but I was surprised with decent training runs, great snow, perfect weather and the race piste was'nt too bad either!
The snow held up so well we enjoyed full days of training courses, a luxury we never get at Easter and I can't remember queing for a lift at all. Not to mention our sizeable accommodation, Bormio was ticking lots of boxes.
But even with all these plus's if we did'nt get any results the trip would not be the same, so the pressure to perform was on.
And perform you certainly all did. I was very impressed with the standard of your races and the support you showed for each other in the finish area. Medals for Rob, Iain, Brods and not forgetting Will, but we could of had more with Creagle & Dan coming close.
A great weeks work by all. Some stories to share over beers on the patio next time will be Brodie's short lived trophy and Simon's wallet predicament - nee nah, nee nah Poths to the rescue!! I'll leave Simon to recount the full details!!
