About Team Slalom Plus
The Slalom Plus Ski Racing Team was founded in August 1992, by coach/ manager - Chantelle Goddard. From humble beginnings, the club is now one of the most successful in the country and boasts some of the best young racers. Check out the Honours Board for a selection of our achievements
The team now trains on a Thursday and Sunday evening. Ability is an advantage, but determination and will to win are a must! The club offers the chance to train and race on snow and regularly has racers charging off to compete all over the world.
The club caters for a variety of levels from part time enthusiasts to international races and has racers aged from 4 to 60. Our oldest club member recently skied to 3rd place in the British Masters Championships.
The club flourishes with the dedication of the coaching staff, the commitment of the racers and the support of the parents. We have an annual presentation with shields and prizes and actively encourage parental involvement. Some have even been known to race!
The ethos of the club is simple:-
To provide pathways to success
To give experiences that can be remembered
To provide safe and enjoyable training
And to learn to work as a team...
Our experiences in childhood shape what we become!
In addition, the club offers full race support, including wax preparation, and a comprehensive year round training programme. Courage, conviction and commitment are essential - if you think you're up to it step this way!
